Downloading
the Software
Code onto a
Redundant CPU
* Note:
You must download the same version software code onto
both CPUs. The correct process for doing this is:
• Install the Primary CPU in slot 1
• Load the new software onto it from either the console
or the PCMCIA flash card
• Install the Redundant CPU in slot 2
• Load the new software onto it from either the console
or the PCMCIA flash card
To download new software code on a redundant CPU:
1. Connect
the Ethernet port on the
s
upervisor module in slot 2
to
the network (Figure 2-8).
