Remember needed safety equipment and to wear proper protective clothing:
•
The noise level at the driver's seat and around the machine may exceed 85 dB(A). Wear
hearing protection while working with the loader. Also, working with pneumatic tools can
produce high levels of noise. To lower noise exposure, keep loader rpm at correct level
and use tools that are designed to be as quiet as possible.
•
Wear safety boots when working with and around the loader.
•
Wear protective gloves.
•
When handling hydraulic or pneumatic hoses or components, wear safety goggles. The
use of safety goggles is recommended when working with various types of pneumatic
tools.
Find out about other necessary safety equipment at specific
operating areas. For example, when working at construction
sites, safety helmet is required. In dusty conditions wear
breathing mask.
Safe stopping of the equipment in case of disruption of operation, before maintenance work, or when
preparing the compressor for any storage period
Always stop the compressor following safe stopping procedure before going near the
attachment. Never go under a raised loader boom or the attachment. Note that the
loader boom can move down even if the engine of the loader is turned off. Safe
stopping procedure:
•
Stop the attachment and the loader.
•
Lower the boom and the attachment on the ground.
•
Shut down the loader engine and lock the parking brake.
•
Release residual pressure from the hydraulic system.
•
Prevent starting of the machine, remove key from ignition.
•
Release the compressed air from the reservoir of the compressor (see Chapter 6.4)
and relieve air pressure form the hoses or tools connected to the compressor.
