Cleaning
Keep the compressor clean to ensure effective cooling and for the best performance of the compressor. A
blowgun is a useful tool to clear dust from all surfaces of compressor. Especially the compressor block,
control valves, safety relief valve, air filter, and cooling fan must be kept clean. Cleaning with water should be
avoided. The compressor must not be washed with a pressure washer. Touch up paint where needed to
prevent rust damage.
7.4.
Oils
Checking oil level
To check the oil level there is a sight glass on the
side of the compressor block. For correct reading,
the level must be checked in upright position after
the compressor has been stopped for long enough
to allow oil to drain back to oil pan.
The oil level must be between the lower edge and
the middle of the sight glass.
