3.4 Establish Vehicle Communication
The Diagnostics operations require pairing the MaxiBAS BT609 tablet with the vehicle through
the VCI device (V200) via Bluetooth. To establish proper vehicle communication to the tablet,
perform the following steps:
1.
Connect the VCI device to the vehicle’s DLC for both communication and power source.
2.
Pair the VCI device with the tablet via Bluetooth.
3.
When the above steps are completed, check the VCI navigation button at the bottom bar
on the screen. A green BT icon at the lower-right corner indicates that the MaxiBAS
BT609 is now ready to start vehicle diagnosis.
3.4.1 VCI Connection
To pair the tablet with the VCI device via Bluetooth:
1.
Power up the tablet.
2.
Select the
VCI Manager
application from the MaxiBAS Job Menu.
3.
When the VCI Manager application is launched, the tablet automatically scans
for available VCI device for Bluetooth pairing. Available devices are listed on
the right side of the screen.
