5 The phone book
Your telephone allows you to store 99 telephone numbers with an associated
name in the phone book.
If the capacity of 99 numbers has been reached, the next time you try to store a
number the display will show the message TELEFONBUCH VOLL. In this case,
other numbers must be deleted first.
5.1 Storing numbers in the phone book
1. Press
the
MENU
button.
2. Select
the
TELEFONBUCH message using the Jogdial and confirm with
ENTER
. The display shows NUMMER EINGEBEN.
3. Enter the required telephone number with a maximum of 24 digits using the
number pad.
4. Confirm with the
ENTER
button. The display shows NAMEN EINGEBEN.
5. Now enter the required name with a maximum of 16 letters. Enter the first
letter and move the cursor one position to the right by means of the Jogdial.
6. Enter the whole of the name in this manner and confirm with
ENTER
.
7. The number has now been saved with the associated name and the display
will show the message NUMMER EINGEBEN.
8. If you want to enter more numbers proceed as under 2 or exit the storage
mode with the
button.
How to enter names
The number keys are also printed with letters for entering names. By repeatedly
pressing the appropriate button, upper case letters as well as numbers and special
characters can be entered.
Incorrect entries can be deleted with the button. To do this, move the cursor to
the correct point using the Jogdial and then press the button.
