4.6 Muting the microphone
The microphone can be turned off during a call by using the secrecy button
. It
is thus possible to speak without the other person hearing you. The loudspeaker in
the handset remains switched on and you can continue to hear the other person.
1. Press the mute button
once during a call to mute the microphone. The
indicator light in the button will come on.
2. To switch the microphone on again, press the mute button
once more.
The indicator light will go out and you can continue the call as normal.
4.7 Adjusting the receiver volume
If the receiver volume is too quiet or too loud for you, you can change this to suit
your requirements.
Using the slide switch
on the receiver, you can adjust the
volume from soft to loud
.
4.8 Adjustable ring tone
By means of the slide switch on the underside you can choose the settings HI
(loud) or LO (soft) to match the volume of the ringing tone to your requirements.
If at any time you do not want to be disturbed, use the OFF setting.
