Instructions For Use
4.1.
Powering Up the ASU
1.
Ensure that the ASU has been plugged into a grounded receptacle.
NOTE:
Do not use extension cords or three-prong to two-prong adapters. The power cord
assembly should be periodically checked for damaged insulation or connectors.
2.
Turn the power on using the ON/OFF switch located on the power entry module on the rear
panel. When power is turned on; the system performs the System Self-Tests. See Figure 5. If
all Self-Tests pass, the system transitions to the STANDBY mode. If any Self-Test fails, the
system transitions to the FAULT mode. The Self-Test generates two quick beeps at startup.
The operator must verify that the beeps are generated.

Refer to Section 4.2., below, for a full description of the STANDBY and FAULT
modes, as well as all the other operating modes.
