Main components
1. Lifting columns
The columns are the main part of the lift they are fixed on the ground. They are made of bent sheet metal. The
base plate is at the lower part and the support plate is at the upper part welded.
2. Hydraulic aggregate
With this the hydraulic oil in the tank will be leaded over a gear pump, which is driven by the motor, to the
cylinder. Via a lowering valve the oil will be leaded back again into the tank. By means of the emergency lowering
switch a lowering of the lift is possible in case of a defect. The installed blow-off valve prevents an exceeding of
the capacity.
THIS ADJUSTMENT IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE CHANGED!!!!
P. 1) Main platform
The platform builds a bridging between both cross beams with whom they are screwed. It´s the part of the lift
where the vehicles drives on. Under this platform is the mechanism for the transmission of the power generated
by the hydraulic cylinder, as e.g. ropes, pulleys and so on.
2) Second platform
This platform is constructed analogue to the main platform P1, but does not include any hydraulic function parts.
On the cross beams this platform is not fixed at on one side and can be therefore adjusted according to the
wheelbase of the vehicle.
> ATH 4.35A & 4.55A are equipped additionally with sliding plates in the back and recesses for turn plates.
4. Cross Beam
The cross beams are parts of the lift, they are connecting the opposite columns.
The platforms are attached on the cross beams.
Safety devices
5. Control box equipped with deadman control.
Includes the complete electrical control system. All push buttons are protected by a front ring for preventing an
accidental pushing of the button, furthermore all movements will be interrupted immediately while releasing the
button.
6. Roll-Off protection
This safety device protects the car of rolling down, when lifted.
7. CE-Stop
This device stops the lift while lowering at a height of app. 500 mm.
8. Safety notches
This safety device prevents a lowering of the lift of more than 100 mm in case of any arbitrary defect. Pneumatic
cylinders are unlocking this device at every lowering.
9. Limit switch
Prevents an unnecessary pressure in the hydraulic system.
10. Synchronization ropes
Guarantees a secure synchronization of both carriages.
