System setup
Number of Rings
By default, the answering system answers an
incoming
HOME
call after four rings. You can set
the answering system to answer an incoming
HOME
call after two, four, or six rings. You can
also select
Toll Saver
(see below).
To set the number of rings:
1.
Press the
MENU
softkey on the telephone base
to enter the main menu.
2. Press the
UP
and
DOWN
NavKeys to highlight
Answering System
, then press the
SELECT
softkey to enter the
Answering System
menu.
3. Press the
UP
and
DOWN
NavKeys to highlight
to highlight
Number of Rings
, then press the
SELECT
softkey. You can then select:
•
Answer on 2 Rings
- the answering system
answers an incoming call after two rings.
•
Answer on 4 Rings
- the answering system
answers an incoming call after four rings.
•
Answer of 6 Rings
- the answering system
answers an incoming call after six rings.
•
Toll Saver
- the answering system answers
a call after two rings when there are new
messages, and after four rings when there
are no new messages.
4. Press the
UP
and
DOWN
NavKeys to highlight
an option, then press the
SET
softkey to save
the setting.
NOTE:
To stop the
answering system recording
an incoming caller at anytime,
press
HOME/
FLASH
or
SPEAKER
on the handset,
or
HOME
or
HEADSET
(if
available) on the telephone
base.
