14. Replacement of consumable supplies and component parts
Fit a new main and secondary prism unit
to the refractometer as same as the former
prism unit was set, and then fasten the
four Phillips head (+) screws at the four
corners of the plate A.
Attach the two cable clamps together with
thermo-sensor cable to the main body as
they
were.
At
that
time
make
the
thermo-sensor's earth wire position on the
left side of the clamps.
That is all for prism replacement. Before
starting measurement with the new prism,
make
sure
to
calibrate
the scale
(calibration).

Do not loosen the two screws fixing
the secondary prism and the hinge
base.
Note:
Remove the main and secondary prism
unit upwards together with the plate A and
plate B (Fig.14-3).

If the part that is exposed after
removing the prism is dirty, wipe it
down with soft tissues moistened with
ethyl alcohol or neutral detergent.
