Plug & Play O/S
Specifies whether a Plug & Play capable operating system such as Windows 95 is in use. Only enable
this option if the system is using a Plug & Play capable operating system. Available configurations are:
• No
• Yes (default)
Peripheral Configuration
Pressing the [Enter] when this field is highlighted calls up the following sub-menu: This menu allows
you to configure the Notebook PC’s serial and parallel ports. Each field on this sub-menu is covered
below.
Serial Port A
This field allows you to configure the Notebook PC serial COM1 port. The following options are
available:
• Auto (default)
• User
• Disabled
• PnP OS
When User is selected, the Base I/O Address menu item appears as following : The “Base I/O Address”
field becomes available and you can set the serial port IRQ and I/O address as you like. The following
options are available:
• 3F8, IRQ 4 (default)
• 2F8, IRQ 3
• 3E8, IRQ 4
• 2E8, IRQ 3
