5.
Rough in the Electrical Supply, if Needed
As necessary, rough in the fireplace electrical supply per NEC and local codes.
6.
Place the Fireplace in the Framing and Secure
NOTE:
Nailing flanges, combustible members, and screw heads in areas directly adjacent to the nailing flanges are EXEMPT from the
1/2” clearance to combustible requirements for the firebox outer wrapper.
NOTE:
Combustible framing may be in direct contact with the nailing flanges and may be located within 1/2” of screw heads and the
firebox wrapper in areas adjacent to the nailing flanges.
Frame the opening to the exact dimensions specified in the framing details in this manual.

Bend out the appropriate nailing flanges for the drywall / finish material to
be used

. Nailing flanges are provided for:

1/2”, and
•
5/8” framing depths.

Secure the fireplace to the side framing members using the unit’s nailing
flanges —one top and bottom on each side of the fireplace front
(

. Use 8d nails or the equivalent.
3.
A flush-mount mounting kit is available for purchase (order cat. number
F3695). Attach the flush mounting bracket using two screws per bracket as
shown in
Figure 10
.
NOTE
: If rock/ stone stop kit is to be used, a minimal of 4” of
noncombustible material is required directly over fireplace that spans the
width of the unit.

Optional Accessory) Install The Rock/Stone Stop Kit, if Applicable
For use only with these fireplaces with thick facing materials and a decorative facade. Maximum allowed depth of non-combustible
material is 6”.

1. Unbox items. Included items: 4 piece trim kit, 3 self-tapping screws and
instructions.
