Starting the Air Compressor

WARNING
Before starting the air compressor, read and
understand the safety and start-up information
in the Honda Owner’s Manual.
Before starting, check:
•
Outlet valve—should be open.
•
Tank—Using the valve on the bottom of the tank,
drain any water that is in the tank.
•
Compressor crankcase oil level—the sight glass
should show 1/2 full. Do not overfill.
Use a compressor-grade non-detergent oil such as
American IMC or Morlena 100. Use correct viscos-
ity according to the outside temperature.
•
Engine crankcase oil level—check with dipstick
unscrewed. Oil should be visible on dipstick.
Use API service classification SJ, SL, or equivalent.
10W-30 is recommended for typical outside tem-
peratures.

machine.
To start the engine, refer to the Honda manual supplied
with the machine.
Allow the compressor to run for a few minutes before
closing the outlet valve.
