3.4.1
Replacement of the disposable canister of the ASSKEA pro

Close the tubing clamp at the wound drainage system (fig. 3) to maintain the vacuum in the
ASSKEA pro
wound

12.
Separate the suction tube from the wound drainage system and close the Luer connector
with the protective cap.
13.
Press on the locking mechanism at the top of the canister (fig. 5 (B)) and keep it pressed
while pulling the disposable exudate canister horizontally away from the device.
14.
Dispose of the disposable exudate canister and the integrated suction tube in a proper
manner. (Please refer to chapter 6.3 “Disposal”)
15.
Place a new disposable exudate canister on the device. Ensure that the disposable exudate
canister is properly connected to the device.
16.
Connect the suction tube to the wound drainage system.
17.
Switch on the
ASSKEA pro
wound

18.
Loosen the tubing clamp at the wound drainage system.

Replacement of the disposable liner “OneWay” of the ASSKEA pro
wound
®

Close the tubing clamp at the suction tube (fig. 3) and at the wound drainage system to
maintain the vacuum in the wound.

Switch off the
ASSKEA pro
wound
®

3.
Separate the suction tube from the wound drainage system.
4.
Separate the pre-assembled connecting tube of the disposable liner “OneWay” at the
bottom end of the T-piece of the external canister “Bag”.
5.
Remove the disposable liner “OneWay” from the reusable external canister “Bag”.
6.
Dispose of the disposable liner “OneWay” incl. the suction tube in a proper manner. (Please
refer to chapter 6.3 “Disposal”)
7.
Place a new disposable liner “OneWay” in the reusable external canister “Bag” as specified in
3.1.6. Ensure that the connecting tube as well as the lid of the disposable liner are properly
seated on the external canister.
8.
Attach a new suction tube to the patient connection of the disposable liner “OneWay” and
connect it to the wound drainage system.
9.
Switch on the
ASSKEA pro
wound
®

10.
Loosen the tubing clamp at the wound drainage system.
