Buzzer enab…
The buzzer can be turned on or off. Selecting this will show the select menu –

) marker indicates that this is the current state of the buzzer option.
Select the required state then use the
enter
key (
) to accept this or the
Esc
key to leave
the current state unchanged.

Key buz enab…
The key buzzer (buzz on key press) can be turned on or off. This menu is very similar to the
Buzz enab…
(see above).
4.6.4.4
Standby enab…
The CTR5000 can be enabled to enter standby mode as a power-saving feature. When
enabled, the instrument will turn the LCD backlight off after 30 minutes after the last key
press

(the LED will still be active). The instrument will still measure (and transmit) data, but the
LCD backlight intensity is turned off to save power. Once the CTR5000 is in standby mode, any
key-press will turn on the LCB backlight back on
