Inspection items

Routine inspection

Periodic inspection

Actuator

- Existence of rust and corrosion on the

appearance.

-Tightening  condition  of  respective

threaded portions. (Loose or not)]

- Existence of rust and corrosion around

the  limit  switch,  and  existence  of
internal disconnection.

-  Existence  of  rust  and  corrosion  of

terminal  board,  and  existence  of
disconnection.

-  Existence  of  abnormality  in  opening

and closing operating sounds.

-  Measurement  of  insulation  resistance

(megger test etc.).

-  Measurement  of  contact  resistance

(tester, etc.).

- Presence or absence of disconnection

of internal wiring.

- Presence or absence of disconnection

of external connection.

- Smooth manual operation.

-The  screw  of  the  terminal  block  is

tightened.

Valve

Routine inspection

- Existence of scratches, cracks, deformation, and discoloring.

- Existence of leakage from the valve to the outside.

- Existence of leakage when the right closed or left closed.

17. Troubleshooting

Problem

Cause

Treatment

The Allen wrench
does not turn or
cannot turn
during manual
operation.

The  built-in  stopper  (left  open  side  or
right  open  side)  of  the  actuator  is
functioning.

Rotate the Allen wrench in the opposite
direction.

The Auto/Manual  changeover  switch  is
set to automatic operation (A).

Switch  the  Auto/Manual  changeover
switch  to  manual  operation  (M).  (Refer
to "

11. Operating procedure

".)

Foreign matter is in the valve.

Remove foreign matter.

Valve torque is increasing due to piping
stress.

Remove the piping stress.

Due to the influence of fluid
(temperature, composition, pressure),
the torque of the valve is increasing.

Check the service condition.

It is not output
when the signal
from the limit
switch is fully
open or fully
closed.

The contact between the limit switch and
the cam is defective.

Remove the signal line connected to the
terminal block and check the resistance
value with a tester or the like.
(Guide:  Resistance  0.5

Ω

  or  less  when

the contact is ON)

The limit switch is out of order.
(Poor contact: wear, corrosion, etc.)

Replace the actuator.

- Perform periodic maintenance. (Leakage may develop due to temperature changes or over

periods of prolonged storage, rest or operation.)
