OPERATOR’S INSTRUCTIONS: MANURE SPREADER
INSPECTION & ADJUSTMENTS
ALWAYS STOP SPREADER, SHUT OFF VEHICLE ENGINE AND REMOVE IGNITION
KEY BEFORE SERVICING, REPAIRING, ADJUSTING, OR CLEANING. USE SAFE SHOP
PROCEDURES AND EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN WORKING ON THIS MACHINE!
• SHIELDING
to be sure all shielding is in place and functioning properly. Replace all damaged
or missing shielding immediately, contact your nearest dealer or the Art’s Way Parts/Service
dept. for more information.
• SAFETY DECALS FOR READABILITY.
If any safety decals are removed, obstructed, or
otherwise not understandable, they should be replaced immediately. Keep all decals clean!
• AFTER A FEW HOURS OF INITIAL OPERATION,
check all nuts, bolts, and set screws
to be sure they are tight and secure.
• CHECK FREQUENTLY.
Thoroughly check all hardware each month or after 25 loads of use,
torque to proper setting see [PG. 24] or replace if necessary.

MPORTANT: IF YOU WELD ON THIS UNIT:

the bearings, ground directly to the item being welding/repaired.
• PERIODICALLY CHECK
all bearings and bushings for wear and replace if necessary.
• INSPECT APRON CHAINS
for wear, proper alignment, and tension, according to the
adjustment guidelines shown on [PG. 21] before every day of operation.
