2.2 Safety precautions
During installation and operation of CCS-IP2, observe safety precautions laid out in
“Occupational safety rules when operating electrical installations” when working with
electrical receivers with voltage of up to 1000 V.
Never operate the product with a damaged power, communication or earthing
cables.
ATTENTION! NEVER DISMANTLE THE PRODUCT CONNECTED TO MAINS.
In order to ensure fire safety, follow the following rules:
−
before connecting the product to the power supply, make sure the power and
communication cables are properly insulated;
−
before connecting to the eathing bus make sure the earthing cable is properly
insulated and earthing bus is normal.
−
protect power and communication cables from damage.
2.3 Preparation for use
Preparation of the CCS-IP2 for use shall be carried out by the manufacturer’s
representatives, or personnel trained to operate Armtel LLC products. The main
preparation of the product for use is carried out during installation and connection.
Preparation of the CCS-IP2 for operation involves a series of steps:
−
removing the CCS-IP2 from the shipping container and/or consumer package;
−
checking the CCS-IP2 package contents in accordance with the attached
product passport;
−
visual inspection of the product for damage (cracks, dents, chips, etc.). During
visual inspection, pay attention to the integrity of the product, connection and
state of cables, state of key switches, buttons, keypad (all keys/buttons must
be easy to press and must easily return to the original state);
−
unscrew the fastening screws and remove the cover;
−
check the settings of controls and DIP switches on the CCS-BC board (see
Figure 4).
