2.2 IR Armstrong ST6700 Provisioning and Joining
The Yokokawa environment supports two methods of provisioning and joining. Section 2.1 above covered
one method using over the air provisioning. The second method is out of band provisioning (IR Provisioning)
that requires an infrared adaptor. This manual assumes the configuration of the infrared adapter (ACTiSYS
IR224UN) has been completed. If not, please refer to Yokogawa manual IM 01R01A01-01E 16th Edition,
section N.
Below are the steps required for out of band (IR) provisioning:
1. Device Check
Open “Device Manager” on the PC to determine the COM port of the installed infrared adapter, in the below
example the COM port is set to COM9.
