NOTE: An alarm will sound when

the snowmobile is operated in
reverse.

Adjustable/Movable

Backrest (T570/TZ1

Models)

The backrest is designed for maximum

comfort and safety. When riding double,

the backrest must be in the passenger seat

position.
To change the height of the backrest, pull

out and down on the adjuster lever (LXR

models) or loosen the adjuster screw (non-

LXR models), move the backrest up or

down to the desired position, and push the

adjuster lever up and in (LXR models) or

tighten the adjuster screw (non-LXR mod-

els) to lock the backrest in place.

0744-610

NOTE: To properly lock the back-

rest, it may be necessary to rotate
the adjuster lever clockwise or coun-
terclockwise to secure the backrest
in place.

When riding single, the backrest can be

moved to the forward seat position.

To move the backrest, pull the adjuster

out and down, pull the backrest up and

out of the slots, slide the backrest into the

slots of the seat and adjust to the desired

position, and push the adjuster up and in

to lock the backrest in place.

NOTE: If moving the backrest to

the forward seat position, the pas-
senger seat must be removed.

NOTE: When removing/adjusting the

backrest on the standard T570/TZ1
passenger seat, loosen, but do not
remove, the cap screw at the rear of
seat, install/adjust the passenger seat,
and tighten the cap screw securely.

Removable Rear Seat

T570/TZ1 Models

These snowmobiles are equipped with a

removable rear seat to allow for addi-

tional cargo space when no passenger is

being carried.

NOTE: If additional cargo is being

added, maximum weight on the snow-
mobile (operator/passenger/cargo)
should not exceed the maximum limi-
tation set for each snowmobile. See
the chart in the Suspension - Over-
load Springs sub-section in the Main-
tenance section for details. Also, the
overload springs should be engaged.

To remove the rear seat, use the follow-

ing procedure:

NOTE: On LXR models, the center

luggage bag must be removed.

1. Rotate the seat latch either clock-

wise or counterclockwise and hold it

in that position; then lift the seat and

move it rearward far enough to

access the electrical connector.

! WARNING

Use caution and minimal speed
when operating the snowmobile in
reverse. Be sure the button is in the
desired position.

! WARNING

Moving the backrest to the forward
seat position limits the seating
capacity to one person only.
