Battery
The battery is installed underneath the seat.
For optimum performance and a service life as long as possible, the battery must be
periodically cleaned and charged again after putting into operation.
The discharge of the battery may have e.g. the following causes:
●
Changing ambient temperatures
●
Quiescent current demand
●
Corroding connections
●
Self-discharge
●
Frequent starts/stops
●
Short engine running times
●
Frequent use of the winch or the snow blade
●
Longer operation at low speed
●
Use of accessories with high power consumption
The following procedures are recommended for cleaning and care of sealed batteries.
7.7.1
Trickle charging
ATTENTION
Observe all warnings added to the battery and the charger.
NOTE
Arctic Cat recommends the use of CTEK chargers for trickle charging or
charging of the battery.
ATTENTION
When using a charger without pulsed conservation of load, battery damage
may occur after reaching the maximum charge capacity due to overcharge.
NOTE
A trickle charging is required for all batteries that are not used for longer than
2 weeks or are discharged.
