Climbing onto the vehicle (passenger, only applies to TRV):
1. After the driver has climbed on: place left hand on the driver’s shoulder.
2. Grip backrest with right hand.
3. Swing right leg over the seat and place right foot on right-hand footrest.
4. Sit down comfortably.
5. Hold on to the handles provided on the vehicle with both hands.
Always leave the feet on the footrests.
Climbing off:
1. Activate parking brake.
2. Stand up and swing right leg over the seat to the left-hand side.
3. Climb off the vehicle towards the left.

Starting / switching off the engine
6.3.1
Starting petrol engine
1. Activate parking brake.
2. Shift to idle.
3. Turn ignition key to ON position.
4. Press starter button (do no accelerate while doing this).
5. Let the engine warm up.
WARNING
Provide adequate ventilation when operating the engine in closed rooms.
Do not start or run the engine in a closed room without a suitable extraction
system.
NOTE
The engine can also be started with an engaged gear if you additionally
activate the foot brake or the hand brake when starting.
CAUTION
Do not actuate the starter motor longer than eight seconds per starting pro-
cess. If more starting processes are necessary: wait 15 seconds in between
the starting processes to allow the starter motor to cool down.
