Recording a Current or
Future Program from the
Program Guide
The following procedure explains how
to record a program from the Program
Guide.
1 Press the GUIDE key. The
Program Guide is displayed
2 Use the arrows to highlight a
program.
3 Press the REC key.
Passport Echo displays the
Recording Options dialog.
4 Press the up or down arrows to
highlight the desired option, then
press the SELECT key.
Note: If there is a recording conflict, a
conflict resolution dialog
appears. You must resolve the
conflict before proceeding. For
more information, see
“Resolving Conflicts” on
page 58.
• If you select
Record this show,
the
procedure is complete.
• If you select Record entire series,
the Series Recording dialog
appears. See “Recording a
Series” on page 56.
• If you select Remind me about this
show,
a reminder banner appears
one minute before the program
begins. A Reminder Timer icon
will be displayed in the Program
Guide. (This option is not
available if the program is
currently airing.)
• If you select
View this channel now,
the channel will be displayed
automatically.
Manual Recording
A manual recording takes place at the
time you request. It begins at the time
you specify. You can request that the
recording occur one time, or
repeatedly.
1 While any video channel is
displayed, press the REC key.
2 Press the up or down arrows to
highlight the
Create a manual
recording... option, then press the
SELECT key.
Passport Echo displays the
Manual Recording dialog.
3 Select either an
Individual
recording (one time only) or a
Recurring recording (records at the
same time on designated days).
