shift the gearbox lever (9) into neutral
[green warning light “

” (10) on].
NOTE
If the room temperature is low
(near to or lower than 0°C), see p. 46
(STARTING WITH COLD ENGINE).
a
CAUTION
To avoid excessive consumption of the
battery, do not keep the start push but-

seconds.
If the engine does not start in this lapse
of time, wait ten seconds and press the
start push button “

out accelerating and release it as soon
as the engine starts.
a

since you may damage the starter.
If the engine oil pressure warning light
“
.
” (5) remains on, or if it comes on
during the normal operation of the en-
gine, this means that the oil pressure in
the circuit is insufficient.
In this case, stop the engine immediate-
ly and contact an
APRILIA
Official Dealer.
◆
Keep at least one brake lever pulled and
do not accelerate until you start.
a
CAUTION
Never leave abruptly with cold engine.
To reduce the emission of polluting
substances and the consumption of fu-
el, warm the engine up by proceeding at
low speed for the first miles.
a
CAUTION
If the diagnostic warning light “
û
” (6)
comes on on the dashboard during the
normal operation of the engine, this
means that the electronic unit has de-
tected an anomaly.
In many cases the engine keeps run-
ning with limited functions; contact an
APRILIA
Official Dealer immediately.
