Important! Please Read the Following:
Always protect your valuable recorded titles on your DVD+RW discs, refer to Chapter 3,
Page 52 to learn how to protect your recordings.
When using/playing a DVD+RW disc, it is possible to record over an existing title in the
following instance(s):
1. Upon the initial insertion of a DVD+RW disc, at the title screen, the player will highlight
or select the fi rst title. Please note that if the RECORD button is pressed TWICE at this
screen, the recorder will record over the selected title and all subsequent titles on the disc.
If this is not your intention, press the STOP button immediately.
This feature is similar to how your VCR operates, however with DVD+RW discs you can
selectively protect recordings, a VCR cannot do this.
2. If you are viewing a title on a DVD+RW and you press the RECORD button on the
remote control while viewing the title, the recorder will record over your existing recording
from that point forward, similar to that of a VCR. If this occurs, press STOP on your remote
immediately, otherwise all subsequent titles on the disc will be recorded over.
