CHARGING YOUR CARD READER
Before you attach your card reader to your smartphone or tablet, you
need to fully charge your card reader. This should take approximately
1 hour.
To charge your card reader, plug one end of the USB cable into your
card reader and the other into:
• A powered USB port on your computer; or
• A standard USB charger (not supplied).
Once fully charged, your card reader should perform around
230 transactions.
Press and hold the yellow clear key on the card reader to see how
much charge is left. When fully charged, all 4 blue stars across the
top of the PIN pad will light up. When low on charge, only one star
will light up.
HOW TO GET YOUR ANZ FASTPAY APP SET UP
AND READY TO GO
Step 1:
When your card reader is fully charged, connect your card reader to
your smartphone or tablet by inserting the audio jack into the
headphone socket. You can also use the extension cord to connect
your card reader to your smartphone or tablet. This may make it
easier for you and your customer to use the card reader’s PIN pad.
If you have a cover on your smartphone or tablet, you may need
to remove it.
Make sure that the side with the ANZ logo is facing the same way
as your screen, and the PIN pad is sitting along the back of your
smartphone or tablet (see next page).
