INSTALLATION OF OUTDOOR UNIT
Installation tips
1� The outdoor unit can be placed in a room or corridor, on a balcony or roof, or be mounted on a
wall�
2� When choosing the place to install the appliance, bear in mind that rotating parts can produce
some noise and create resonance�
3� The outdoor unit should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated area�
4� Do not place the outdoor unit in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable
liquids, gases or dust�
5� Put a roof cover over the outdoor unit to protect the air inlet from snow, ice, and leaves etc� Protect
the outdoor unit from direct sunlight, rain and snow, but do not interfere with its ventilation�
6� Make sure that defrost condensation is led off from the area�
7� Do not install the indoor and/or outdoor units where they can be exposed to moisture� This can
cause electric shock, corrosion and/or material damage� Damp and/or corrosive environments can
reduce the useful life of the appliance�
8� If the outdoor unit is installed in an area where there is a lot of snow or high relative humidity
and/or temperatures below 0°C, it should be placed at least 20 cm above the ground�
9� Install the unit at an angle of 1 cm per m towards the left side of the unit, seen from in front, for
better drainage�
10� The outdoor unit should be placed on a level, stable surface� Leave enough free space around the
appliance for maintenance and ventilation� See diagram below�
