5.2 Installing the ArcPower Rack Unit Pixel into a rack
The ArcPower Rack Unit Pixel is designed for mounting into 19-inch equipment rack.
Fasten the ArcPower Rack Unit Pixel into rack by means of two screws on each side the ArcPower Rack Unit
Pixel front panel.
5.3. DMX 512 operation
The ArcPower Rack Unit Pixel is equipped with 3-pin XLR sockets for DMX input and output. Only use a shiel-
ded twisted-pair cable designed for RS-485 and 3-pin XLR connectors in order to connect the fixture with the
DMX controller or one fixture with another.
To build a DMX chain.
1.
Unplug fixtures from the mains before installation.
2.
Connect the LED modules to the ArcPower Rack Unit Pixels.

. Connect ArcPower Rack Unit Pixels each other. Max. 32 fixtures may be connected on a DMX link.
Terminate the DMX link by installing a termination plug in the output of the last fixture.
The termination plug is a male 3-pin XLR plug with a 120 Ohm resistor soldered between Signal (–)
and Signal (+).
4.
Connect ArcPower Rack Unit Pixels to mains.

. Set each ArcPower Rack Unit Pixel.
6.
Connect the DMX controller to the first fixture.
