4.1 Cleaning the plates.
In any event never direct water jets at the appliance during
cleaning; especially in the case of pressurised jets and when
plates are very hot.
Clean the hob regularly, whenever it is used.
Before cleaning the ceramic surface, allow the appliance to cool.
Before cooking foods with high sugar content (such as jam) a protective product must be ap-
plied to the cooking surface to prevent damage if the pan boils over.
• Pour a few drops of a suitable detergent onto the cold hob and rub with kitchen paper (or a
soft cloth).
• Rinse the hob and dry it with a clean cloth or kitchen paper.
WARNING: Fat spills must be removed from the cooking zone with a damp
cloth (Scotch), since they may become corrosive when heated

NEVER USE PLATES WITHOUT PANS OR OTHER COOKING MEANS;
ENSURE THAT THE PLATE POWER INDICATOR LAMP REMAINS OFF WHEN
PLATES ARE NOT IN USE.
3.2 What to do if the appliance fails to operate
