Turn it in the direction that the cam bearing rotates
(see Figure 41 ). To take up the slack, turn the
screw so that the cam turns in the same direction.
To prevent the brake from overheating, make sure
that the wheel turns freely when the brake is not
engaged.

7.7.4 Replacing the brake shoes
The brake shoes must be replaced when the lining has reached the minimum thickness. Use this
opportunity to grease the wheel bearings (see "Lubricating the wheel bearings" on page 76).
