Maintenance/Inspection Instructions
9.3.1
Clean System
Proceed
as
follows:
1.
For
safety
reasons,
you
should
discard
the
tips.
2.
Turn
system
power
off
at
the
main
power
switch,
then
disconnect
the
power
plug
from
the
socket
3.
Remove
all
microplates,
reservoirs
or
wash
troughs.
4.
Use
a
mild
detergent
or
disinfectant
to
clean
the
inner
space.
5.
Replace
any
accessory
items.
6.
You
can
turn
power
supply
on.
The
system
performs
an
initialization
routine
and
restores
readiness
for
operation.
The system undergoes re-initialization and becomes operational again.
NOTICE
Never
use
cleaning
powder,
paint
thinner
or
solvents
like
ethanol,
gasoline,
acetone
or
isopropanol
to
clean
the
pipettor.
Substances
of
this
type
will
attack
the
surface
of
enclosure
panels
(for
more
details
refer
to:
“Chemical Resistance” on page 18
Use
a
soft
piece
of
cloth
slightly
moistened
with
mild
soap
or
disinfectant
solution
to
clean
system
enclosure
parts.
Optionally,
commercially
available
disinfectant
wipes
may
also
be
used
for
cleaning.
Spraying
disinfectants
or
similar
agents
onto
a
system
surface
is
classified
as
dangerous
action
and
is
therefore
prohibited.
Spray
contains
gases
that
can
ignite.
NOTE
Remove
contamination
or
damage
at
once.
