MOUNTING

Mount the unit in a WELL VENTILATED location. Allow at 

least 1 inch (2.54 cm) of clearance surrounding the unit 

for adequate cooling. 
The PWS1005W is designed to meet IP66 rating,and is 

resistant to water spray from any direction. These units 

can be mounted in wet locations but are not suitable for 

submersion. 

WARNING:

 TO PREVENT THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, NEVER DISCONNECT THE 

INPUT OR OUTPUT WHILE THE UNIT IS ENERGIZED.

Installation

DC OUTPUT CONNECTION

This unit is equipped with two 8AWG TEW-type stranded leads terminating bare copper. The 

wiring for this connection can be found on the units front panel label and is as follows:

Gray

AC Neutral

Green/Yellow

AC Ground

DC Output Positive

This unit’s maximum continuous output current is 40A. When connecting devices to the power 

supply, ensure total connected load is less than 40A and that the wiring used is rated for this 

current.

AC INPUT CONNECTION

This unit is equipped with a 3.05m/10.00ft 3x14AWG power cord ending in a NEMA 5-15 

compatible plug suitable for connection to any typical North American AC Mains outlet. If 

you need to hard-wire this connection, cut the plug off the cord and strip the wires inside, the 

wiring for this cord as follows:

CAUTION:

 

DO NOT CONNECT THE LOAD IN THE REVERSE POLARITY!!

This will activate the reverse connection protection which will blow the output fuses inside the unit 

in order to protect the device.The unit will be inoperable until these fuses have been replaced.
