POWERLINK supports synchronization mode. The syn-
chronization mode enables clock-synchronous data exchange be-
tween sensor and control. The synchronous measurement is an es-
sential requirement for motion-controlled applications

computer hardware.

The properties and functions of a POWERLINK device are described
in a XDD fi le ( X ML D evice D escription). The XML-based XDD fi le
contains all relevant data that are important for the implementation
of the device in the controller as well as for data exchange during
