20. INSTALL THE MANUAL LOWERING DEVICE
PROCEDURE
Install The Manual Lowering Pull Cable and Box
INSTALL
1. At the uppermost landing, install the Cable
Box (around 60” from the Top Landing Floor).
2. Secure and tie the Pull Cable to the Brake
Mechanism Eye Bolt. Thread the Pull Cable
through the Lead Eye Bolt.
3. Run the Pull Cable to Pull Cable Box. Ensure
the Pull Cable does not obstruct the operation
of the elevator. Thread the Pull Cable through
the lower entry. Loop and clamp the Pull
Cable.
4. Wire the Push Button Actuator according to
the Electrical Diagram found on the next page.
THE PLATFORM MUST COMPLETE A MINIMUM
OF
50
UP AND DOWN CYCLES FOR THE
EMERGENCY LOWERING DEVICE TO WORK.
