Step 2 Clear CMOS RAM
The J3 CMOS RAM (Random Access Memory) contains volatile memory that
you can write to as well as read. It contains the Real Time Clock (RTC)
information. Use the following procedure to clear the RTC data:

1 Turn the computer off.
Set the jumper to CLEAR, as shown below. (Put the
black jumper cap over the jumper pins according to
the required configuration.) 2
Clear:
Set the jumper back to NORMAL: 3
Normal (default):
4 Turn the computer on.
5 During bootup, hold the <Delete> key down to
enter BIOS setup, where you can reset your
preferences.
