2. Preparation for operation
Visual inspection of the implement
→
Basic implement:
Check the frame, hopper and extension for damage and attachment
of the ladder, tarpaulin, and hoop guard.
→
Drive:
Check the PTO shaft and hydraulic connections for cleanliness and ease of
movement.
→
Spreader unit:
Check the spreading vanes for wear and proper fastening.
→
Check the warning signs, warning symbols and lighting.
Contact the responsible workshop if there is any damage or unclear circumstances.
Coupling the implement
→
If the tractor is being coupled to the fertiliser spreader for the first time, be sure
to observe section 7 of the implement operating manual.
Take into account the following points to avoid spreading errors due to incorrect
mounting:
→
Align the fertiliser spreader in a longitudinal and transverse direction.
→
Lift the fertiliser spreader high enough so that the distance from the spreading
disc to the ground is 80 cm.
