Cleaning, maintenance and repairs
WARNING
Risk of crushing, cutting, catching, being drawn in and/or
knocked down through unintentional:
•
falling of the lifted implement using the tractor's three-point
hydraulic system
•
falling of lifted, unsecured implement parts
•
start-up and/or rolling of the tractor-implement combination
Secure the tractor and implement from unintentional starting and/or
rolling away before you perform any cleaning, servicing or mainte-
nance work on the implement. See page 57.
12.1
Cleaning
•
Pay close attention to brake, air and hydraulic hose lines.
•
Never treat brake, air and hydraulic hose lines with gasoline,
benzene, petroleum or mineral oils.
•
After cleaning, grease the implement, in particular after cleaning
with a high pressure cleaner / stream jet or fat-soluble agents.
•
Observe the statutory requirement for the handling and removal
of cleaning agents.
Cleaning with a high pressure cleaner / steam jet
•
Always observe the following points when using a high pressure
cleaner / steam jet for cleaning:
ο
Do not clean any electrical components.
ο
Do not clean any chromed components.
ο
Never aim the cleaning jet of the cleaning nozzle of the
high pressure cleaner/steam jet directly at lubrication
points, bearings, rating plates, warning signs, and stickers.
ο
Always maintain a minimum jet distance of 1 ft [300 mm]
between the high pressure cleaning or steam jet cleaning
nozzle and the implement.
ο
The set pressure of the high-pressure cleaner/steam jet
must not exceed 120 bar.
ο
ο
Comply with safety regulations when working with high
pressure cleaners.
