MAINTENANCE

AT THE END OF THE WORK

EMPTYING THE COLLECTION TANK

At the end of the work, and before carrying out any type of maintenance, perform the following

operations:

1.  Take the machine to where its collection tank is emptied.

N.B: the place designated for this operation must comply with current environmental

protection regulations.

CAUTION: These operations must be carried out using gloves to protect the hands.

2.  Switch off the machine by setting the main switch (1) to “0” (Fig.1).

3.  Remove the plug (2) on the power cable (3) from the mains power supply socket (4) (Fig.2).

WARNING: To prevent damaging the power cable, disconnect the plug from the mains

socket by directly pulling the plug and not the cable.

4.  Remove the vacuum head (5) using the handle on top of it, before removing the head loosen

the locking catches (6) on the side of the collection tank (7) (Fig.3) and lay it on the ground.

5.  Remove the metal basket and the nylon filter.

6.  Empty the collection tank.

N.B. : If there is a nylon filter, remove it from inside the collection tank before emptying the

machine.

7.  Remount everything by doing the reverse operations.

At the end of the work, and before carrying out any type of maintenance, perform the following

operations:

1.  Take the machine to the place where it is maintained and carry out all the procedures listed in the

chapter “ MAINTENANCE”.

2.  Take the machine to the designated machine storage place.

3.  Take all necessary steps to ensure that the device is in a safe condition (see "MACHINE

SAFETY”).

ATTENTION: Park the machine in an enclosed place, on a flat surface; near the machine

there must be no objects that could either damage it, or be damaged through contact with it.

Properly cleaning the vacuum unit makes sure the machine works efficiently and effectively when

operating, to carry out maintenance do as follows:

1.  Take all necessary steps to ensure that the device is in a safe condition (see "MACHINE

SAFETY”).

2.  Remove the vacuum head (1) using the handle, before removing the head loosen the locking

hooks (2) on the side of the collection tank (Fig.1). Rest the vacuum head gently on the floor.

3.  Remove the filter cartridge (3) (Fig.2) and clean it under the tap water. Remove the filter. For

AVAC12, unscrew the clip (6) and remove the filter as shown in Fig. 3.

N.B. : If the surface of the filter is extremely dirty, brush the filter with a normal soft brush to

clean it thoroughly, and if necessary wash it in water.

ATTENTION: Check the condition of the foam filter if the filter surface area is particularly

clogged or if it is damaged replace it.

N.B. : If the surface of the filter is extremely dirty, brush the filter with a normal soft brush to

5.  Put back the vacuum head (1) on top of the collection tank (3), remembering to secure it with

the hook catches (2).

6.  Disconnect the vacuum hose (7) from the vacuum nozzle (8) on the collection tank, before

pulling the vacuum hose press the release button (9) (Fig.5).

7.  Clean the inside of the vacuum hose with a jet of compressed air, if necessary removing any

obstructions.

8.  Disconnect the cleaning accessory.

9.  Clean the inside of the vacuum chamber of the accessory with compressed air, and if necessary

remove any obstructions.

WORK

VACUUMING DRY OBJECTS

To vacuum dry objects, do as follows:

1.  Insert the vacuum hose (1) from the vacuum nozzle (2) on the collection tank, before

pulling the vacuum hose press the button (3) for unlocking the catch (Fig.1).

2.  Select the most suitable accessory for the work to be carried out. Insert the selected

accessory into the vacuum hose, if necessary also use the extension tubes.

3.  Insert the plug (4) of the power supply cable (5) in the mains supply socket (6) (Fig.2).

ATTENTION: Do not exceed the maximum mains impedance value allowed for the

electrical connection point (see Technical Data). Please contact your electrical energy

supplier if in doubts concerning mains impedance on the connecting point.

CAUTION: Do not insert the power cable into the socket of the mains plug with wet

hands.

4.  Switch on the machine by setting the main switch (7) to “I” (Fig. 3).

5.  Start work.

N.B. : If the type of work requires it, also start the second vacuum motor.

ATTENTION: Risk of damage! If dry vacuuming, never remove the cloth filter while

vacuuming. Vacuuming fine dust requires the replacement of the cloth filter with a more

appropriate cartridge filter (optional component).

If when working a reduction in the vacuum power is noted or the noise of the machine becomes

louder:

•

Switch off the machine by positioning the main switch (7) to the rest position (Fig. 3).

•
