Removing the power-button board

Prerequisites
1 Remove the base cover .
2 Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length) , whichever applicable.
3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in Removing the hard drive .
4 Remove the wireless card .
5 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in Removing the heat sink .
6 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane .
7 Remove the system board .
Procedure
1 Peel the Mylar off the power-button board.
2 Remove the three screws (M2x3) that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
3 Lift the power-button board off the palm-rest assembly.
