Updating the ALF-WirelessMedia
Updating the firmware can be useful to take the advantage of new features of the ALF-WirelessMedia,
or to fix
known issues and bugs. The ALF-WirelessMedia includes two methods of updating: Updating by USB stick, and
webserver.
After updating the Base-unit, always check whether the other peripherals still function as expected or whether
they should be updated also.
There are
three different areas
for updating: Firmware of
Base-unit
, Firmware of
dongle
and,
Launcher
for
PC / Laptop or MAC “ALF-WirelessMedia.exe“. All software is stored on the Base-unit, to be transferred
manually to different devices.

Check current firmware information

Firmware version can be seen in the ““ALF-WirelessMedia”.exe” program icon in the
Windows status bar by right-clicking the ““ALF-WirelessMedia”” icon and selecting “About”, as shown below:
