DM8 MP DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURE
c) Once all switches are pressed and have been detected, the test will pass. If a switch is not working, press
[STOP] twice to abort the test. The LCD will display the following:

Abort
d) Press [STOP] one more time to return to the test selection menu.
Note that if multiple switches are detected, the test will fail, so it is important to make sure only one switch is
pressed at anytime.
9. Jog Test

a) Press [PLAY] to begin the test and the LCD will display the current count:

b) Verify that as the jog wheel is turned clockwise, the count increases, and if turned counterclockwise, the
count decreases.
c) In addition, verify that a single jog click produces only one count increase or decrease, according to the
direction the jog wheel was turned.
10. Audio Tests

Additional equipment:
Audio Precision System 1 (or better), and necessary cabling
Headphones
Before starting the test, turn down Main level. Then press [PLAY] to start the audio test.
The LCD will display the following:

The unit is now generating a 1378Hz tone and sending it to all outputs. Pressing [CURSOR UP] and
[CURSOR DOWN] will cycle through the available output options, including “Off.” Pressing the [UP] or
[DOWN] button will cycle through the available test tone frequencies. Leave this at 1378Hz for OTS testing.
Note that at any time during the audio testing, pressing [STOP] will exit the audio test and jump back to the
test selection page.
