DM8 MP DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURE
15. Hihat Control Input test
Additional equipment:
Hihat Control input tester (see Appendix B)

a) Plug cable marked “hihat control” into the hihat tester and press [PLAY] (note that it must be done in this
order).
After starting the test, the LCD will display the following:
HIHAT
Press S1 on tester
b) Press S1 on the tester. If that portion of the test passes, then the LCD will display
HIHAT
Press S2 on tester
c) Press S2 on the tester. The LCD will display the following if the test passes:
HIHAT
Passed
Note that the test will time out and fail if no activity is detected on the Hihat Control input jack for 5 seconds.

This is an informational display, not a test. Press [PLAY] to display the boot loader on the LCD:

17. Trigger Debug (do not use)
Pressing [PLAY] will start this special debug mode and a restart is required to stop it.
18. Hihat Debug (do not use)
Pressing [PLAY] will continuously display the raw hihat pedal input level. Press [STOP] to return to the test
selection page.
