DM8 MP DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURE

Serial #
a) This is an informational display, not a test. If the unit has a valid serial number, pressing [PLAY] will
display it on the LCD.
4. Ram Test

a) Press [PLAY] to begin test, at which point the LCD should display the following:
RAM Test
Wait..
b) When the test has completed, the LCD will display the following if it passes:
RAM Test
Passed
Or the following if it fails:
RAM Test
Failed
5. Trigger Micro Self Test

a) Verify that none of the trigger cables are plugged into any drums. Also verify nothing is plugged into the
PERC1 or PERC2 TRS jacks. Otherwise, the test will fail.
b) Press [PLAY] to begin the trigger micro self test. If it passes, the trigger micro responds with “passed”
message to the DSP, and the LCD will display the following:

Passed
c) If there is no response from the trigger micro within a reasonable time window, the LCD will display

Failed: Timeout
