Detailed Command Summary
You may have up to 4 groups (1-4).
Select File to Channel
Description:
This command causes the Digital Video Machine 4 to select the specified A/V
clip, Overlay Image, Banner, or Playlist. If the media being searched is a Banner
or Image, it will be displayed on the screen immediately. If the media is a video
or playlist, the next Play command causes the specified file to play from the
beginning. The unit defaults to video #1 at power-up, unless an autoexec file
exists. When receiving this command, the Digital Video Machine 4 always
looks for the file on the currently selected drive.
Command Bytes:
[<ID>@]ncSE<CR> or [<ID>@]nncSE<CR> or [<ID>@]nnncSE<CR> or
[<ID>@]nnnncSE<CR> or [<ID>@]nnnnncSE<CR>
where n, nn, nnn, nnnn or nnnnn is the file number in ASCII.
or
[<ID>@]”<filename>”cSE<CR>
where <filename> is an ASCII file name surrounded by quotation marks.
Message Response:
R<CR>
Comments:
This is similar to the “Search to Address” command in chapter addressing mode
used in Pioneer Laser Disc protocol. The maximum file number is 99999.
Examples:
Select video 215 to channel 1: 2151SE<CR>
Select banner 4 to all channels: 4*SE<CR> or “ban00004.txt”*SE<CR>
Select image 300 to channel 2: 3002SE<CR> or “img00300.bmp”*SE<CR>
Select file alcorn.mpg on all: “alcorn.mpg”*SE<CR>
Play
Description:
When used alone, this command causes the Digital Video Machine 4 to play the
currently selected video or playlist. If a clip is stilled, this command resumes
play. Also, if you place a file number ahead of the play command, the DVM4
will search and play that file directly. For some cases, this can allow you to skip
the ‘Select File’ command.
Command bytes:
[<ID>@]cPL<CR>
or
[<ID>@]ncPL<CR> or [<ID>@]nncPL<CR> or [<ID>@]nnncPL<CR> or
