3.5. Mechanical Structure
(See Figure 6. on page 23 and Figure 7 on page 24)
The subrack is fitted with particular mechanical devices which permit to obtain functions in compliancy with
the International Norms associated to EMC.
There are two types of subrack:
1) Subrack code 3AL 89794 AA consists of:
•
Mechanical structure consisting of two side walls (1) joined by cross members (2)
•
Rear p.c.b. (3) utilized for the subrack wiring
•
Two cable duct (4) e (4’) for the optical fibers connected to the units front panels.
•
Rear cover (5) for the protection of the rear p.c.b. (3)
•
Grids (6) to protect the equipment against interferences and at the same time permitting air to
circulate inside.
•
Guides (7) facilitating unit vertical insertion. Special mechanical devices are provided to prevent
the unit from being inserted up-side down.
•
Union for optical fiber duct (8) to protect and guide the fibers with the correct bending radius
