Table 24 displays the DB9 DCE mode Console port pin assignments. Use these pin assignments
when the DTE/DCE switch on the ESS-1 front panel is flipped to DCE.
Table 25 specifies Alarm port connector pinouts. Examples of critical alarms include a fan failure,
a power supply over temperature condition, and a power supply failure. The major alarm LED can
illuminate when a power supply is removed. There are no conditions defined for minor alarms.
