Hardware Installation
This section will assist you in quickly installing your system hardware. Wear a wrist ground strap
before handling components. Electrostatic discharge may damage the system’s components.
CPU Processor Installation
This mainboard supports
Intel ® Core TM 2 Duo Mobile
processors using a Socket P. Before building
your system, we suggest you to visit the Intel website and review the processor installation
procedures.

CPU Socket P Configuration Steps:
1. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw counter-clockwise until the dot on the screw points to the
“unlocked” sign. (3 o’clock position)
2. On the socket, locate the pin-1 receptor. Match the Pin-1 marker on the CPU with the pin-1
receptor of the socket and then gently lower the CPU onto the socket. Do not use force as it will
result in bent pins.
3. Next, turn the screw clockwise until it points to the “locked” sign (9 o’clock position) — this will
lock the CPU into the socket.
