KX400+ series mainboard

OTP (Over Temperature Protection) function: JP4

This mainboard supports a special design for CPU Over Temperature Protection. If

this

function is “Enabled” and

you use Athlon XP CPU, when

the CPU temperature rises

above the normal range,

the system will automatically shut down. Remove and reinstall

the CPU heat sink.

Also check to make sure the CPU fan is working properly.
