3.3. Environmental considerations
This symbol indicates that this equipment must be deposited at a collection
point for proper waste treatment once it has reached the end of its useful
life.
3.4. Power considerations
The power supplies for the mounting frames in the TL2000 family of are designed to
provide 3W per slot. The power consumption for the majority of the TL2000 family
modules is less than 3 W under all operating conditions, therefore as many as 19
modules can be installed in a two-unit UR2000 mounting frame.
Under normal operating conditions (audio signals consisting of music or vocals with a
level of 4dBu) the power consumption of the AAD2000C01 is less than 3 W, therefore a
maximum of 19 modules can be housed in a two-unit UR2000 mounting frame.
If the AAD2000C01 is used to distribute signals with a level greater than 4dBu and all of
the outputs are loaded by 600Ω then the power consumption of the may exceed the 3
W destined for each slot, and therefore the maximum number of AAD2000C01 modules
that can be installed will be lower than the number of slots in the mounting frames.
The maximum power consumption of the AAD2000C01 is produced with signals with a
level of +24dBu and when all the outputs are loaded with 600Ω. In such circumstances
the power consumption is 30% higher than the permitted maximum, and therefore the
maximum number of AAD2000C01 modules that can be installed in a mounting frame
is 15.
No power limit is applied when none of the outputs are loaded by 600Ω because the
power consumption in this case is lower than the maximum. Therefore all the slot of a
mounting frame can be loaded with AAD2000C01 modules.
3.5. Module configuration
The module includes program jumpers that should be configured before installing the
modules in the mounting frame.
The program jumpers are used to interconnect each module to the adjacent modules,
and are labeled BACKPLANE BUS ACCESS in the silkscreen of the rear panel. Half of the
jumpers are labeled LEFT and the other half are labeled RIGHT. Those jumpers labeled
LEFT are used to connect to the module installed immediately to the left in the mounting
frame, and those labeled RIGHT do the same but for the module to the right. The
jumpers permit combination of the signals from two or more modules in the same
mounting frame within the bus.
When the internal bus is not used the program jumpers should be set to the OFF
position. This is their factory default position. When intercommunication with other
