Install U7, the motor driver for the balance and volume pots. As in previous IC
installation steps:
Get the IC in the right way by matching silk screen and IC orientation marks
Bend two corner pins to retain the IC until you solder it in place. Choose places to
bend the pins that avoid shorting traces together.

Install the Control Cable Connector
Looks at this drawing CAREFULLY to be sure that you’re putting P5 in correctly! These
three things show the odd-numbered side of the connector:
1.
Centrally located notch in the long side
2.
notches in the short sides are closer to the odd-numbered side of the connector
3.
AMP is visible at the bottom of the centrally located notch
Study this drawing and the connector until it’s clear which side is the odd pin side of the
connector, then match it to the odd pin silk screen on the PCB. Solder two corner pins
and make sure that you’re right one more time before you solder the rest of the pins.
